Community Contribution and Grants

Community Bank Pinewood is proudly part of Bendigo Bank and opened in the Pinewood Shopping Village in Mount Waverley in 2002, since that time we have given over $ 2 million in funds to the Monash Community in the form of sponsorships, donations, scholarships, and community grants. 

Our Board of Directors supports the Community Bank Pinewood branch under the umbrella of Pinewood Community Financial Services Ltd, this is our Vision and Mission:

 Community Bank Pinewood offers the following funding opportunities:

Community Grants (targeted)

Our grants are paid to an organisation to address a community issue or need within the City of Monash or an alternative pre-approved area. Eligibility criteria apply.

Sponsorships (assessed monthly)

Our Sponsorships are provided to organisations, groups, and sporting clubs to provide support within our community, and applications are assessed every month. Sponsorships are granted from $500 to $5,000 depending on relationship length and value. If you are seeking a larger sponsorship, please consider applying via our Pitch It Program.

Pitch It Program (annual applications August to September)

Our Pitch It Community Grants Program is held once a year to address specific projects from community group applicants within the City of Monash. Finalists will be selected to ‘pitch’ their project at a fun event usually held in November in the year of application. Funds will be allocated to each group at the finalist event. Eligibility criteria apply

Scholarships

Our scholarships support students to further their studies with less financial burden. Please contact our Marketing & Sponsorship Coordinator via marketing@pinewoodcb.com.au with any queries.

Donations

We provide services and financial support to help achieve social outcomes in our communities. Please contact our Marketing & Sponsorship Coordinator via marketing@pinewoodcb.com.au with any queries.


Before applying for funding please check the points below as Community Bank Pinewood will consider these as part of the assessment process:

  • Has the group already received funding from Community Bank Pinewood in the last 12 months
  • If you apply for funding as, or on behalf of, a person or if you are applying on behalf of a commercial enterprise
  • If your Community Group does not have a bank account with Community Bank Pinewood or intention to open an account (any funding provided can only be deposited into a Community Bank Pinewood account)
  • If you have failed to supply acquittal details or to comply with previous funding conditions set by Community Bank Pinewood
  • If you are outside of the City of Monash (unless you have prior approval to make an application)
  • If your application seeks 100 percent of funding from CBP. (It is expected that Community Groups will detail funding or “in-kind” support they will contribute to the initiative/project outlined in the application)
